In honor of National Breast Cancer Awareness Month (NBCAM), Susan G. Komen for the Cure® is issuing a call to action -- to increase breast cancer screening rates. And, we need you to join us! October is almost here, so we need your help now to encourage your U.S. Senators and Representatives to show their commitment by serving as a Promise Action Champion.

Members of Congress play a critical role in helping to ensure we do not lose ground in our fight against breast cancer. We need your help to encourage your Members of Congress to:

Enter a statement into the Congressional Record during the first week of October, recognizing the importance of regular mammograms
Urge loved ones and staff to follow the recommended screening guidelines
Wear a pink ribbon lapel pin during the month of October
Participate in NBCAM activities held in their district

Please contact your Senators and Representatives and ask them to participate in NBCAM activities. Together, we can continue our progress in fulfilling our mission to end breast cancer forever.
